BLACK-OWNED & FEMALE-LED
EXECUTIVE TEAM
RAMONA D. HALL
(Owner & CEO)
A native of South Florida, Ramona has led the helm of Phillips Concessions, LLC through brand acquisitions and changes over the past 13 years. Her knowledge of the local community is contributed to her earlier career as a Legislative Aide for Miami Dade County and her stint at the Beacon Council as Director of Urban Initiatives. Both jobs allowed her a bird’s eye view on Miami Dade County and all it had to offer and what Miami really was – a tourist community with medium-sized businesses that was ripe for growth and development. Ramona transitioned into Entrepreneurship in 2000. A milestone life change with a new century returned her to the goal she set for herself in high school to be successful: “have a passion and follow it to the end, put in all the work and failure will be but a fleeting thought”.
With a burgeoning governmental consulting career and a boutique public involvement consulting firm Ramona began to make her mark in the community and thrived professionally.
Ramona’s focus and hands-on management of her business continue to open doors for opportunities in this very select field of food and beverage licensing. She gives credit to Mr. H. J. Russell who first gave her an opportunity to participate as a DBE on her first venture into food 13 years ago. His firm’s leadership and knowledge helped her grow into the owner/operator she is today. Ramona has remained steadfast in her past, immediate and future goals: develop and train the future leasers of her firm and continue to provide employment opportunities to the community in which her businesses reside.
